Royal West Norfolk Golf Club
Royal West Norfolk Golf Club (RWN) is located in Norfolk, England, on the north Norfolk coast. The club was founded in 1892 and the course was designed by Holcombe Ingleby. The course is known for its unique setting on a narrow strip of linksland between Brancaster Bay and the salt marshes. Due to its location, the course can only be accessed at low tide via a road that floods twice a day, making it a true hidden gem.
RWN hosts several competitions throughout the year, including the Halford Hewitt Public Schools Championship, the UK Seniors' Championship, and the Men's and Ladies' County Championships. One of the most notable accomplishments of RWN was hosting the first-ever British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship in 1893. The course has also been praised by many professional golfers, including Jack Nicklaus, who described it as "among the best in the world".
