Royal Melbourne Golf Club

Royal Melbourne Golf Club is one of the most prestigious golf courses in Australia, located in the Melbourne suburb of Black Rock, Victoria. The East Course was founded in 1931, and it is considered one of the top courses in the world. Designed by renowned golf architect Alister MacKenzie, the course has a traditional links-style layout with challenging bunkers, undulating fairways, and fast greens.

Royal Melbourne Golf Club (East) has hosted several major tournaments, including the Presidents Cup in 1998, 2011, and 2019. Notable accomplishments at this golf course include the 2011 Presidents Cup, which saw the International team record its first victory in over a decade. Additionally, the course has been home to numerous Australian Open Championships, and in 1959, it hosted the Canada Cup (now known as the World Cup of Golf), which was won by the Australian team of Peter Thomson and Kel Nagle.
