The Els Club Dubai

The Els Club Dubai was designed by two-time Major champion Ernie Els and opened in 2008 within Dubai Sports City. It was one of the first courses in the world to carry the Els Design signature, and immediately raised the bar for championship golf in the UAE.

The design philosophy centres on playability without sacrificing challenge. Wide, generous fairways encourage aggressive driving, while large, undulating greens demand a deft short game. Strategic bunkering and occasional water hazards add interest without punishing higher handicappers unfairly — making this a course that golfers of all standards can enjoy.

The Els Club has hosted a number of DP World Tour events over the years, as well as regional amateur and professional competitions. Its floodlit driving range, short game area, and Els Golf Academy make it a popular venue for both competition and tuition.
