Chicago Golf Club

The Chicago Golf Club was founded in 1892 and is one of the oldest golf clubs in the United States. The club has two golf courses, the Course No. 1 and Course No. 2, both designed by legendary golf course architect, Charles Blair Macdonald. Course No. 2 has been ranked among the top 20 courses in the United States by Golf Digest.

The Chicago Golf Club has a rich history of hosting major golf events, including the U.S. Open in 1897, 1900, 1911, and 1915, as well as the U.S. Amateur Championship in 1897, 1905, 1909, 1912, 1917, 1922, and 2005. In 2018, the club hosted the inaugural U.S. Senior Women's Open Championship. Notable accomplishments at the club include the victory of golf legend Walter Hagen in the 1914 U.S. Open, and the victory of Jerome Travers, who won four U.S. Amateur Championships in a row from 1907 to 1912, which is still a record to this day.
