While Calusa Pines has not hosted any major championships, it is considered one of the best golf courses in Florida and has received numerous accolades since its opening. In 2020, Golf Digest ranked Calusa Pines as the 8th best course in Florida and the 87th best course in the United States. It has also been ranked as one of the most challenging courses in Florida, with a slope rating of 152.
