Al Zorah Golf Club
Al Zorah Golf Club is one of the UAE's most environmentally remarkable courses, designed by Nicklaus Design and threaded through over one million square metres of protected mangrove forest along the Ajman waterfront. Opened in 2015 and managed by Troon Golf, it offers a playing experience that is genuinely unlike any other course in the region.
Twelve of the eighteen holes border the mangroves directly, with the ancient trees creating natural corridors of green that frame the fairways and come into play for wayward shots. The mangroves are a protected habitat and the course was designed with significant environmental care to preserve them — a balance that has resulted in one of the most visually stunning golf courses in the Middle East.
The par-72 layout stretches to over 7,200 yards from the championship tees and demands a full range of shots. Water is omnipresent, and the sea breeze from the Gulf adds an extra dimension to club selection and course management. Despite its championship credentials, Al Zorah is also welcoming to visiting golfers of all handicap levels.
Away from the course, Al Zorah is a master-planned waterfront community with hotels, restaurants and leisure facilities. The clubhouse enjoys views across the mangroves and out to sea, making the post-round setting one of the most tranquil in UAE golf — a world away from the city bustle of Dubai, just 30 minutes down the motorway.
